First Club Competition Success

What a day! Today I participated in my first club internal competition and placed 3rd out of 12 pistol shooters. This feels like a major milestone give me some idea to start an Olympic journey.

• Final score: 163-2x (173.9 total)
• Accuracy: 79.77%
• Placement: 3rd out of 12 competitors
• Shot count: 20 rounds

This represents a massive improvement from my early sessions and shows that consistent training is paying off.

Mental Game Breakthrough

Today I discovered something crucial about competitive shooting: every shot is independent.

The funny part is that the concept of having a short memory in basketball for every shoot is important and I never succeed to implement it. I always remembered my previous missed and didnot want to shoot again.

However, in air pistol, it works like a charm for me. I succeed to forgot my previous shoot, and every shoot is like the first one.

I developed a new mental routine:

1. Focus on the sight - Let everything else fade away
2. Shot memory reset - Treat each shot as completely new
3. Breathing rhythm - Consistent pattern for every shot
4. Routine consistency - Same approach every time

Technical Improvements

The precision statistics from today's session show significant improvement: - Mean radius: 17.293mm (much tighter grouping) - Max spread: 60.938mm (best control yet) - Windage/elevation much more centered

Confidence Building

Placing in my first competition gives me tremendous confidence that Olympic qualification is achievable. The gap between current performance and Olympic standards is still substantial, but the improvement trajectory is encouraging.

Next Steps

• Continue refining the mental routine that worked so well today
• Focus on consistency - can I repeat this performance?
• Start researching regional competitions to enter, coach, etc.
• Consider investing in personal equipment

This competition proved that focused training and mental preparation can produce dramatic improvements. The journey to LA 2028 is still a far dream but feels more real today than ever before.
